I sculpted this yesterday evening and today. A study of an old woman, in her late 70's. The concept was great, becuase I had the
opportunity to work on something more human. Base mesh built in max, and sculpting work done in Zbrush 3 as usual. It's only 1 week now
Until I move upto newcastle, things are getting tight, lots of packing, planning and spending to do.

Over at threedy.com, there have been a series of sculpting challenges. Creating a certain theme in a certain amount of time. Here are two of my entries from
the catergories ' Manimal', an animal human crossover, and 'supersoldier'.

I'm extremely happy to say that I have a new job, an admirer of the company for many years, and a big fan of
their games, I will be joining the team at Ubisoft as a Senior Character artist, from the 14th of july. I'm waiting
to start with anticipation, and have a lot of planning to do now, as the studio is up in Newcastle, which means
a big move for me and wife ( I got married 3 months ago for those who hadn't heard yet, and couldn't be
happier ).
I know a few details about the project so far, and it's sure to be a hit!, There are a lot of great games out Right
now after finishing Assassins Creed, and overplaying fifa08( unfortunately on a PC, as my xbox360 will have
to wait till my first paycheck ), and Bio ware's brilliant Mass effect. It's truly stunning, the graphics are fantastic,
the game play fun and engaging, and as a character artist, I'm constantly impressed and eager to meet new
races and check out the great modeling and texturing.
On a personal project level, I've finished up the sculpting on Whipslash, which has got a great response on forums. It was plugged on Threedy.com,
and featured on other sites also. The low poly is built, and it remains to be textured when I get around to it.
The whole sculpting and modeling process for Whipslash went great, the XSI to zbrush and back workflow was fault free, and XSI's new zbrush displacement
import features make the whole thing a little easier than before. Nevertheless my new project i'm back in max. This time creating a photo real character for the
cinematics of the game mod Ikusa legends. Ikusa Legends is a fighting game set in a universal conflict. A battle of all races, nations and galaxies. Similar in
respect to soul caliber Tekken, virtua fighter and other great fighters, it's a character artists dream. Work has began on the first stage - A run down garage
which should show off the power of our modeling team, and also the cryengine2. The first character has been modeled, and I'll post some nice high res pics
soon. More on that next entry.
Here are a few shots of whipslash, I hope you enjoy it.

As you know, i'm working on the mod Ikusa Legends, A beat-em-up. Some incredible work going on from the team so far, but here's one from me. It's the rhinoguy work in progress shots. There are quite a few anatomy problems to fix soon, but it's shaping up well. I started working on the high poly again, to improve it, as the textures and low poly are finished already.
